William J. Delfs is Of Counsel to Gallium Law. He has practiced in the field of intellectual property law for more than 10 years and has filed and prosecuted patent applications in medical devices, apparel, sporting goods, and smart home technology. This has also brought opportunities to negotiate licensing agreements, complete infringement settlements, and develop IP asset management strategies. He has successfully enforced patents and trademarks on the international stage through internet advertising litigation and take down actions.
William's practice area includes U.S. trademark prosecution and litigation. His trademarks have provided tangible intellectual property assets to many companies and have assisted in market elimination of counterfeiters, imitators, and social media influencers seeking to usurp the goodwill and reputation of established brands.
William holds a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Mathematics with minors in Physics and Spanish from Augustana University in Sioux Falls, SD. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities and a J.D. from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in St. Paul, MN. He is a member of the Minnesota Bar and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. William also assists clients with his Spanish language fluency and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
